Juno’s Success Story —

Our experience with the RRP was even better than we’d hoped. The modules and activities were well-paced. The homework assignments were clear. And Jenna’s ability to customize the program for each dog family was amazing. From the beginning of our group calls, it was clear that while we all have reactive dogs, each one moved at a different speed through the program. And yet, being together on the calls was almost like dog therapy. We learned from the RRP modules. We learned from Jenna. And we learned from each other.

We first adopted Juno in April of 2020…right after the pandemic sent Abby and Emily home from college. While he instantly bonded with our foursome, he started reacting to others within a month and we started researching and interviewing trainers. The trainer we hired was okay, but wasn’t an expert in reactivity and we weren’t good with consistency. Avoiding triggers was easier. A neighbor saw something on Instagram about a Free Reactive Dog Series and I signed up (what did I have to lose?). That led me to your Free Master Class which Emily and I participated in over her spring break. During that session she said, “You HAVE to sign up for this class. It’s designed for us!” Looking back, we knew it was a sales pitch for the RRP, but the way to stayed on the call until everyone’s questions were answered gave me a glimpse of the attention you’d give participants in the program. We thought about it for a week and then signed up. It was a great decision!

Change CAN happen if you break it down and take it slowly. The RRP did a great job of pacing the work and managing our expectations (everything won’t get better at once…and long training sessions don’t work for any of us).

Our communication has greatly improved and that we are all more confident when we are out walking or hiking. And I think Juno trusts us more and knows we won’t put him into a situation he can’t handle.

My favorite thing about the online learning course was how it helped pace the program. And Jenna’s energy comes through on every video. Watching and re-watching as needed seemed to work for us. Thanks for saying (more than once) that we might need to watch modules more than once.

The weekly coaching calls and the one-on-one feedback were key to our success. I especially liked the Monday mid-day calls when fewer people joined…but having multiple options a week seemed to work well for everyone.

ABSOLUTELY! We’ve already recommended it to several people. We say…it felt hands-on even though we only met on Zoom. Jenna gave us so much more one-on-one time than I even thought was possible. And it worked. Juno’s not perfect but he and we have protocols and words and know what to do when.

I would definitely recommend this program to anyone with a reactive dog who has time to dedicate to the process. It’s a lot of time, but we all started seeing results early on.

Before the RRP, we just avoided people and dealt with Juno’s reactivity. Now we can anticipate Juno’s triggers. We know what to do. And Juno knows how to avoid getting over threshold. Marc told a friend just the other day…."this program was a total game changer."
